First Week Back to School

I still can’t believe it’s real. After 7 years of being unable of going back, I’ve already done four assignments and have my first exam next Friday.

This year has been absolutely unreal.

I’m glad that I needed to take a second part to my original anthropology course. The discipline has changed a lot in such a small space of time. The first chapter of my text book started talking about video game culture! I’ve been so excited to continue since seeing that. I know I’ve made the right choice.

My counselor did change one of my classes, which means I technically missed two classes already (and I’m out $130 for the textbook I bought for the other class), so that’s causing me some stress. But I need to pass it so I don’t have the luxury of caring what my final grade is as long as it means I can move on from it. I’ll take that C, thank you.

During this time of transition we’ve also had to go to the emergency room, have our car towed to the shop, and learned about the cancer diagnosis of the parent of a close friend. Honestly, I’ll be glad to see the end of this month.

I’m also currently working on a writing project I’m very excited about! It’s going to take a while to take shape while I’m busy with school, but I’m already off to a good start. If you want to come follow my progress and help contribute please visit my Patreon and subscribe!
